I think it's cute

Just wanted to share these intimate father-son snaps

I didn't do Malang Edition

Tapi saya kalah mulu suit sama kakak saya, she's the lucky one.

Another Day to Celebrate

Today is my mom in-law's 60th birthday. We wanna take her to somewhere nice for a dinner. Mom's favorite place is Bebek Goreng Slamet, fried duck is her favorite cuisine, but it was sold out when I called the restaurant to make the dinner reservation. I have some other restaurant ideas for the celebration. But we don't like some menus from those restaurant. And then I remember I have a 30% discount voucher from Pondok Ikan Bakar Asian that can be used before September. So we decide to eat here. Alhamdulillah we saved 200K and we really enjoyed tonight. xo

Visiting Samarinda

Yesterday was great, we drove to Samarinda. It was a fun ride in a sunny day, the traffic flowed easily and stopping at some welcome centers. We were actually planning for a road trip to Bontang, it takes 3-4 hours away from Samarinda. My hubby's uncle has lived in Bontang for more than a decade and I have never come to see their home there since I moved to Balikpapan. So it's like an alternate vacation to visit him and his family there. It's him  and his family that always come to Balikpapan for a visit or during Eid.  Heading out a 6-7 hours long drive to Bontang sounds a lot of fun and some kind of an enjoyable adventure but also takes too much energy. And we don't think we'll have much time to spend for a hangout there. So we decided to just head to the nearer city.

Papakin or Lai is Durian species that exist only in Kalimantan alone. Papakin farmers selling their fruits on the road side along the way to Samarinda. We stopped at Loa Duri Ilir Village and kicked some durian party there

The road trip back was a bit rough, we stuck in traffic near Samboja, there was an accident, two cars had crashed, I saw the driver stuck in the steering wheel. Police and people trying to get the driver out of his car. Total standstill for almost 30 minutes and then the traffic started moving again. And Alhamdulillah we have arrived home safely.

Melawai Beach Balikpapan, the kitchens of the beach

When Balikpapan locals talk about going to Melawai Beach, they mean hanging out with friends or family on the beach which located next to Semayang Port. It is so easy to find Melawai beach as it's situated in Sudirman Street the main road to various regions in Balikpapan. This beach is the best place in Balikpapan to enjoy the sunset and also the center of various food types and drinks particularly at night. When restaurants and bars are closing, and your stomach is rumbling, you still can find some comfort food to eat at 1 a.m here.

Beside enjoying the beach and the food, visitors could also  see loading and unloading activities at the port. And also from this beach visitors can see two small islands called Pulau Babi and Pulau Tukung which can be visited during low tide.

My son looks so creepy

Gowes Ceria

What a fun way to spend Sunday morning! We joined the bicycles ride event as a commemoration of Pancasila Day "Gowes Ceria" held by Pertamina and Kaltim Post. Starting from Lapangan Merdeka, the ride start at 7.30 am. We headed to Plaza Balikpapan then swung left to Jl. A. Yani. After heading north through Jl. A. Yani, the route then swung left again to Karang Jawa and then it took us to Jl. Minyak before the finish back at Lapangan Merdeka. We did really enjoy the morning in the saddle pedaling through the roads and the breathtaking views of Oil City. Today was spectacular and also challenging and we had so much fun. How's yours?

Mommies, welcome to the sport! When I'm writing this right now, I feel like "awakku remek"

The one and only, peserta yang pake sepeda listrik :D

It's mid-year 2014 already. I wish June will be a month of joy for you and all your loved ones, and this will be great and awesome...

I actually wanted to share these weekend photos yesterday and write the story lengthy, but I was so tired. We were on the road all day long. And I don't think that I feel any better today, so I decided to leave this post short and simple..

Weekend photos in camera phone

Happy New Month and May Allah bless you abundantly.. xo
